Having FUN with a Phantom Drone
Meet the DJI Phantom 3 Drone
When it comes to drones for hobbyists, the quadcopters manufactured by DJI are among the most advanced. With built-in GPS for exact location, visual positioning for wind stabilization, long-distance WiFi for the Mobile App, electronic gimbal for camera angle-control, and very good lens for high resolution video and photos.
I purchased the DJI Phantom 3 Standard Quadcopter at the end of December 2016, when it went on sale at Target for only $500. Though, I had been watching the price drop on the DJI Phantom 3, starting in the spring of 2016 when it went from $900 down to $700. Then the price dropped again for the Christmas season, all the way down to $600. It was at this time that the company announced the new Phantom 4 would be released in the spring of 2017.
DJI Quadcopter Drones Lead the Market
In the world of Drones, DJI is a leading manufacturer for both the hobbyist and professional markets (the civilian market-space). Between the Phantom and Mavic quadcopters, DJI is extremely popular and for good reasons. DJI Drones include advanced wind stabilization technology, built-in GPS, and visual-positioning capability. Not to mention the movie-quality hi-res video and photography, with an electronic gimbal for camera control.
Simply put, the DJI Phantom is the drone to own. (Stay tuned, as this summer I will be posting a Product Review about the DJI Phantom and accessories.)

Here is a compilation video of several Drone flights from April and May 2017. (Good quality video, so open the video “full screen.”)
